Medical Transcription A
This introductory course teaches students how to create medical reports, office notes and correspondence using computers and transcribing units. Throughout the semester, students will transcribe documents that focus on topics such as dermatology, cardiology, obstetrics, gynecology and endocrinology. The course also presents important grammatical rules to improve the quality of finished work and discusses professional topics such as ethics, confidentiality and finding employment as a medical transcriptionist. |
