Basic Literacy
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re qualified to teach someone else to read, consider this: you just passed the test. Change a person’s world by helping an adult to improve his or her reading. To become a Literacy Volunteers of Bangor tutor, we offer this 12-hour training course. The course introduces adult learning theory, teaching strategies for adult learners, and learning disabilities. Having a background or a degree in education is not required to get involved.
